EdMitra helps high school students plan college applications. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect personal information. EdMitra is intended for users 14 years and older.

What we collect

• Account information (name, email, birth year for age verification)
• Profile and academic information you provide
• College lists, essays, activities, and awards
• AI coach conversations and preferences

AI processing

Mitra uses third-party AI providers to power feedback and chat. Your messages may be processed to provide educational features. We do not sell student data or use it to train public models.

Subprocessors

• Groq — AI inference (essay feedback, agent chat, recommendations) (privacy policy)
• Mailjet — Transactional email (verification, invites, password reset) (privacy policy)
• Stripe — Subscription billing and payments (privacy policy)
• Vercel — Application hosting and infrastructure (privacy policy)

Parent/guardian access

Students may voluntarily invite up to two parents or guardians to view their data. Parents cannot access a student account without the student's invite.

Your rights

You can export or delete your data from Account → Privacy. We do not sell personal information or run targeted advertising based on student data.
